Description

Kendo, "The Way of the Sword," is rooted in the sword techniques of the ancient Japanese warrior "Samurai." This martial art conditions the body and spirit through exhilarating and demanding exercises. This class is for both those who have recently graduated from the beginner course and experienced kendo practitioners who are able to demonstrate proficiency in the fundamentals of kendo. You are required to wear your kendo uniform (gi and hakama) and bring your shinai (bamboo sword) and bokuto (wooden sword) to each class. Advanced students should bring their bogu (protective gear) to class. Instructor approval required prior to enrollment. For more information, requirements, and approval, contact: team@hsskkendo.org
