Build a Smart Home with Micro:Bit

In this camp, students will build a 21st-century smart home with Micro:Bit, a programmable device that allows students to get hands-on with computer coding and digital making. Packed with many sensors, Micro:Bit enables students to create interactive and exciting projects. Students will brainstorm ideas to make their smart home secure, efficient, and innovative while learning computer programming fundamentals such as variables, loops, conditionals, logical operators, and functions. Students will write code using either a block-based or MicroPython programming language. We will guide students through the whole project with an emphasis on problem-solving and creativity. Each day, students will also work on other camp-related activities and additional coding challenges.
