Answers to FAQs For Online Registration Customers
- Q: How do I establish an online account?
- A: Before registering for any activities online, you must establish an online registration account and receive a Login Name and Password.
This is how you create an online registration account:
1) Click on the Request Account button.
2) Fill out the form for New Account Request completely, including all required fields,(Birth date, Gender, Email Address, etc.) and click submit. Please submit your request only once.
*Please Note: If you are registering a child for an activity, please use your own information when filling out the online registration account request form, NOT the information of the child you wish to register for an activity. Once you have an online registration account, you will have the opportunity to add family members.
3) You will automatically receive an email after submitting your request for an account. Your account will be activated only after you have responded by clicking on the link provided in the email.
- Q: What should I do if I forget my password?
- A: When you are prompted to sign in, check the Forgot your Password box and click Continue. You will advance to the custom security question you created when initially establishing your account. If, the security question is answered correctly, a new Password will be emailed to the email address listed on the account. Once receiving your new Password and you sign in, you will be prompted to change your password. Please update your Security Question and Answer.
If after reviewing your custom security question and you do not recall your Password, or if your answer is invalid, please contact our office during normal business hours and a member of our staff will assist you.
*Please DO NOT create another Customer Account.
- Q: What is a convenience fee?
- A: A Convenience Fee is is a small charge associated with online transactions. This fee typical of any internet sales and is charged by our software provider. The charge is based on the transaction sub-total amount.
- Q: How do I register online for an activity?
- A: Once your account has been established, registration for activities is easy:
1) Click the View Activities button on the registration home page.
2) Select the activity that you would like to enroll into. Clicking the underlined name will show you a detailed activity description.
3) Click the Add to My Cart button if you wish to register for the activity.
4) Next, sign in to your online registration account by entering your Login Name information and Password. Proceed to checkout by clicking the Continue button. From this screen you may remove activities from your cart or view more activities and add them to your cart.
*Please Note: If more than one family member will be attending the activity, click on the button labeled, Add Another One (located under the Shopping Cart screen).
5) Confirm your activity name, date and time, enrollee and price.
6) Click Continue to proceed with payment. You will be prompted that you are entering a secure site. Enter your credit card information on the Payment Information Page and agree to any required waiver(s) and confirm the payer meets the age requirement of "13 Years or Older". Click Continue. This system accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
*Please Note: The name and address must match those that are on file with your credit company. If the address shown is not your credit card billing address, click on the My Account button and change your residential address to match your credit card billing address.
7) Once your payment has been approved, your receipt will display. Please print a copy of your receipt for your records.
- Q: What happens if I register for the wrong swim lesson level?
- A: Every effort will be made to transfer your child to the appropropriate level. If no openings are available, your account will be credited for the full amount minus the administration & convenience fees). This can be used towards your next purchase or program registration at the Cumming Aquatic Center.
- Q: Will my Membership or Pass renew automatically?
- A: No. You renew it online or at the facility.
- Q: What should I do if I lose my Cumming Aquatic Center pass card?
- A: Another card can be printed at the Cumming Aquatic Center for a $5.00 fee.
- Q: Now that I have purchased a Pass, how will I receive my card?
- A: You will need to have your picture taken and card printed at your first visit to Cumming Aquatic Center after registering online. You will need to show your driver's licence to verify your identity and birth date.
- Q: Can I suspend the start date of my Cumming Aquatic Center pass?
- A: The pass will become active the day it is purchased. The pass effective date cannot be suspended.
- Q: Can someone else in my family or a friend use my pass?
- A: No. The pass is only valid for the pass cardholder. A card will be printed for each member of the family, including children, that the pass was purchased for.
- Q: Is there a minimum number of participants required for a class to run?
- A: Yes. The Cumming Aquatic Center reserves the right to cancel classes if the minimum number of class participants is not net. If this occurs, every effort will be made to transfer registered customers to another class. If this is not possible, the customer will receive a full refund or account credit, whichever is preferred.
- Q: How many accounts should each family have?
- A: We recommend that each family establish one account. Create the account in the name of a head of household and then add all family member names after it has been established.
- Q: How do I add family members to my account?
- A: You may add family members in the three following locations:
1) You may add a family member while submitting your head of household account information, by clicking on the Submit and Add Family Member link.
2) You may add a family member under My Account, this is done by clicking the link Change Information About Family Members.
3) You may also add family member during the enrollment process. This is done by clicking on the link Add Family Member which is located beside the Participant box.
- Q: Can I view activities without registering?
- A: You can always browse through the activities without registering. Click View Activities button and look at all the activities that are offered.
- Q: What will happen if I try to register for an activity that is full?
- A: Your name will be placed on a waiting list. You will be contacted in the event that a space opens for that activity or additional activities are added. If you have already registered for another class but would still prefer the class that you were wait-listed on, you will be transferred to the class. If we are unable to contact you withing 24 hours, your space will be given to the next customer on the waiting list.
If you do not want to be placed on the waiting list, click the Remove button that appears on the Shopping Cart screen.
*Please Note: Placement on a waiting list does not guarantee a spot in the activity. It is recommended that for guaranteed participation, another activity with registration space be chosen.
- Q: How can I view a schedule of my family's upcoming scheduled activities?
- A: The My Account feature allows you to view a weekly schedule of your family's upcoming activities.
Sign into your account and click on the My Account link. Then click on the Show Your Daily Schedule link. Highlight the family members whose schedules you would like to view and click on the top arrow button and move each family member over to the Selected Family Members column. Click on Search to proceed. A weekly schedule will display all of the activities your family members have been enrolled in and allow you to click on the activity for more information.
- Q: Do I have to pay if I am accompanying my children but not entering the water?
- A: All customers who enter the pool area must pay admission.
- Q: How long is my 10 visit Water Exercise pass valid for?
- A: These passes do not have an expiry date.
- Q: What is the Cumming Aquatic Center's refund policy?
- A: MEMBERSHIPS & PASSES are non-refundable and will not be suspended. Exceptions will be considered for medical reasons.
In order to receive a refund for SWIM LESSON registration, the Cumming Aquatic Center must be informed of the participant's withdrawal 5 (five) working days prior to the first day of class. Once the session begins, only classes cancelled by the CAC will be rescheduled or refunded.
If a refund is requested for medical reasons, please contact the Cumming Aquatic Center by phone at 770-781-1781 or email at cac2@cityofcumming.net. Doctor's notes can be faxed to 770-781-1786. Refund Request forms are also available at the Front Desk.
Administrative & Convenience Fees are always non-refundable. No exceptions.
- Q: What is the Cumming Aquatic Center's Rain Check policy for the Outdoor Leisure Pool?
- A: -Rain Checks (RC) &/or Half Price tickets (HPT) will be issued in the event of a closure due to inclement weather or when a closure is deemed necessary by CAC Management.
-Rain checks & Half Price Tickets will only be issued to those patrons with daily admission receipts and will only be available within 30 minutes of the closure. -Rain checks will be issued if the OLP is closed within 2 hours of opening and the Instructional Pool is not available for Open Swim. -Half Price tickets will be issued if the OLP is closed within 3 hours of opening and the Instructional Pool is not available for Open Swim. -Rain Checks or Half Price tickets will not be issued if the OLP closes 3 hours+ in to the session, if the Instructional Pool is available, or if the OLP is closed temporarily, for 30 minutes or less. -Rain Checks and Half Price Tickets will not be issued on a RC or HPT.
Please note that Rain Checks and Half Price Tickets will not be issued to membership/pass holders as these have already been purchased at a discounted rate.
- Q: Can I view my transaction history and print out my past receipts online?
- A: You can view your transaction history and print your receipts online, once your online account has been established. To access this information, please click on the My Account link (located at the top right-hand corner of your screen).
To view prior transactions, you may click on the Get a List of Prior Transactions link.
To view past receipts, you may click on the Get a List of Prior Payments link, (click on the receipt number to view and print each individual receipt).
- Q: What are the Cumming Aquatic Center COMPETITION POOL rules?
- A: Competition Pool Rules:
1. Patrons are prohibited from entering the water without a lifeguard present. 2. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult in the same lane during lap swim sessions. 3. Certified coaches are required to be present during all swim and diving practices and meets. 4. Diving from starting blocks is permitted only when a certified coach is present. 5. No food, drink, or wrappers are allowed in the pool area. 6. No glass articles allowed in or around pool, deck, and locker rooms. 7. Sitting or hanging on lane lines is prohibited. 8. Horseplay such as running, splashing, shoving, or dunking is prohibited. 9. All swimmers must shower before entering the pool. 10. Persons with open sores or rashes are not allowed in the pool. 11. Appropriate bathing attire must be worn. Cut-offs are not permitted. 12. Children 6 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult in the water. 13. Children 3 years old and younger as well as any child who is not potty trained must wear a swim diaper. 14. No spitting, spouting of water or blowing nose in pool is allowed. 15. Use of diving boards is allowed only during organized practices & meets, under supervision of a certified coach. 16. Lifeguards are authorized to enforce all safety rules and facility policies posted or otherwise approved by facility management.
- Q: What are the Cumming Aquatic Center INSTRUCTIONAL POOL rules?
- A: Instructional Pool Rules:
1. Patrons are prohibited from entering the water without a lifeguard present. 2. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult in attendance and in a bathing suit. 3. Diving is prohibited except under the supervision of a certified instructor in the 7 foot deep area. 4. No food, drink, or wrappers are allowed in the pool area. 5. No glass articles allowed in or around pool, deck, and locker rooms. 6. Sitting or hanging on lane lines is prohibited. 7. Horseplay such as running, splashing, shoving, or dunking is prohibited. 8. All swimmers must shower before entering the pool. 9. Persons with open sores or rashes are not allowed in the pool. 10. Appropriate bathing attire must be worn. Cut-offs are not permitted. 11. Children 6 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult in the water. 12. Children 3 years old and younger as well as any child who is not potty trained must wear a swim diaper. 13. No spitting, spouting of water or blowing nose in pool is allowed. 14. Lifeguards are authorized to enforce all safety rules and facility policies posted or otherwise approved by facility management.
- Q: What are the Cumming Aquatic Center OUTDOOR LEISURE POOL and WATER SLIDE rules?
- A: Leisure Pool Rules:
1. Patrons are prohibited from entering the water without a lifeguard present. 2. All persons entering the leisure pool area must pay admission fee. 3. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult in attendance and in a bathing suit. 4. Children 6 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult in the water. 5. Children 3 years old or younger as well as any child not potty trained must wear snug fitting plastic pants or a water resistant swim diaper. 6. Spray features are not to be sat on or put in mouth. 7. Diving is strictly prohibited. 8. No food, drink, or wrappers allowed within 10 feet of the pool. 9. No glass articles allowed in or around the pool, deck, and locker rooms. 10. Horseplay such as running, splashing, shoving, or dunking is prohibited. 11. All swimmers must shower before entering the pool. 12. Persons with open sores or rashes are not allowed in the pool. 13. Appropriate bathing attire must be worn, no ?cut offs? or bathing suits with metal or hard plastic items on them are allowed in the pool or on the slide. 14. Children 6 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult in the water. 15. Children 3 years old and younger as well as any child who is not potty trained must wear a swim diaper. 16. No spitting, spouting of water or blowing nose in pool is allowed. 17. Pool and deck area will be cleared when thunder and lightning is heard or seen. 18. Lifeguards are authorized to enforce all safety rules and facility policies posted or otherwise approved by facility management.
Water Slide Rules:
1. All riders must be at least 48? tall. 2. Maximum rider weight is 300 pounds. 3. Warning: Water depth is 3 feet 6 inches. 4. Non-swimmers are not permitted to ride the slide. 5. All riders must ride feet first while lying on their back with their arms crossed across their chest. Do not go down the slide head first. Do not sit up while riding the slide. 6. Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the bottom of the slide. 7. Once off the slide, swim away from the exit. 8. Do not propel yourself into the ride. 9. Only one rider at a time. No trains or chains of riders permitted. 10. No running, standing, keeling, rotation, tumbling, or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times. Riders should remain in proper riding position until forward movement is terminated. At no time should the rider attempt to stand up while on the slide or prior to coming to a complete stop in the splash area. 11. No tubes, mats, or lifejackets are permitted on the waterslide. 12. No swim masks are permitted on the slide (tempered glass). 13. No foreign objects are allowed in pockets and no jewelry may be worn while riding the slide. Only approved swim suits are allowed. No cut off jeans or swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are allowed. 14. The line should form on the deck with one rider on each landing and one rider in the starter tub. Wait until landing area is clear before entering. 15. Riders must be in good health. Elderly persons, those suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, or persons using prescription medication should consult their physician before using the slide. 16. Individuals who are pregnant or have heart or back problems should not use the slide. 17. Do not use this slide while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 18. No diving from the slide. 19. Leave the plunge pool promptly after entering the water. 20. Rider assumes all risk of injury due to misuse of the slide of failure to follow these rules. Failure to follow rules can result in serious injury.
