Answers to FAQs For Online Registration Customers
- Q: How do I begin the online registration process?
- A: You cannot register online without an account. If you and/or a family member were registered during or after the fall of 2009, you should already have an account with us. Please contact the Enrollment and Customer Service (ECS) office at ecs@themusicsettlement.org for details and login information. If you are new to The Music Settlement, you must create a new account.
- Q: What if I or a family member is currently registered but I don't know if I have an online account?
- A: Please follow the instructions under "What do I do if I forgot my password?"
- Q: How do I establish an online account?
- A: Before registering for any programs or activities online, you must establish an online registration account and receive a Customer ID and Password. If you or a family member were registered during or after the fall of 2009, you should already have an account. Please contact the Enrollment and Customer Service office at ecs@themusicsettlement.org for that information. If you are new to The Music Settlement, or you were registered prior to that time, please follow the steps below to create your new account.
1) Click on the "Create New Account" button.
2) Complete the form for New Account Request completely, including birth date and click submit. Please submit your request only once.
Please Note: The Music Settlement requires Online account holders to be at least 18 years old. If you are registering a child for a program, please create your own account first. Once you have an online registration account, you will have the opportunity to add family members and register them.
3) You will receive an automatic email confirmation after submitting your request for an account. You will also be able to immediately register for available offerings.

- Q: How many accounts should each family have?
- A: Each family should establish only one online account. Create the account in the name of the ADULT who is responsible for paying the account and then add all family member names to the account after it is established.
- Q: How do I add family members to my account?
- A: You may add as many members into your account as necessary. To add a family member, simply create your account first and then select "Submit and Add New Family Member". IMPORTANT: Be sure to choose the correct family role and accurate birth date for the family member you are registering.
- Q: What do I do if I forgot my password?
- A: From The Music Settlement Online Portal, choose "Access My Account". From the login screen, enter your Login name. Then select the "Forgot?" link. You will then be asked to enter your email address and a new, temporary password will be mailed to you. You may also be asked to enter your name and birthdate if the system is unable to determine the correct account from your email address. Please enter this as well. If we did not store your birth date, you can enter your age category. If you are still having trouble, please contact ECS office during normal business hours at 216-421-5806 ext 100 and a member of our staff will assist you.
- Q: What will happen if I try to register for an activity that is full?
- A: For courses that accept it, your name will be placed on a wait list to be contacted in the event that a space in that class/activity opens up or additional classes are added. If you do not want to be placed on the waiting list, click the "remove" button that appears on the screen. If a space opens for the class, you will be contacted. If we do not hear from you within 24 hours, your space will be given to the next customer on the list.
- Q: Can I view my transaction history and print out my past receipts online?
- A: Yes, from the date on which your online account is established. The "My Account" feature allows you to view a detailed list of your past transactions. Just login, click the "My Account" button, and select the program(s) providing transaction history.
- Q: How can I view a schedule of my family's upcoming scheduled classes, sessions or programs?
- A: The "My Account" feature allows you to view a weekly schedule of your family's upcoming scheduled activities. Just login, click on the My Account button, and then click on "Family Schedule". A weekly schedule will display all of the activities your family has been enrolled in and allow you to click on the activity for more information, such as the facility location where the activity is being held.
PLEASE NOTE: The schedule may not be current if a lesson or class re-schedule has not been processed. If you have any qeustions regarding the accuracy of your schedule, you should contact the instructor for that course.
- Q: I cannot register because of an error "age cannot be determined".
- A: You are receiving this error if the activity has age requirements and you have not specified the birthdate of the person you are trying to register. You must go to "My Account", change family member information and update the birth date for this participant. You may then return to your registration. As long as the birth date is withing the required parameters, you should now be able to register the participant.
