- Q: Am I a resident or non-resident?
- A: The Department charges two different program fees, resident and non-resident. You are a resident if you live within the city limits of Beaver Dam. You are a non-resident if you live outside the city limits. If you have a letter that preceeds your house number, such as N1029 or W3908, you are considered a non-resident even though you have a Beaver Dam address. If unsure, please contact our office at (920) 887-4639.
- Q: How do I enter my address if I am a city resident and want to make sure I am charged the resident fee?
- A: If you are a city resident and want to ensure that you are charged resident fees, it is very important that you abbreviate your address when appropriate. For example, Street, Lane, Circle, and Avenue would be abbreviated as St, Ln, Cir, and Ave respectively. DO NOT use periods (.) in your address.
Please note that if you live in an apartment building, have "1/2" in your address or live on a numbered street, it may not be recognized as a city address and you may have to call the Department at (920) 887-4639 to have your address set to "resident" so the appropriate fees are applied.
If you realize that you were charged the non-resident fee after your transaction has been completed, please contact the Department at (920) 887-4639 to have the charges adjusted.
