PAYMENT:

A credit or debit card is required for payment. By signing up for private lessons, you acknowledge and agree to allow Youth Music Project (YMP), through its registration payment service, ActiveNet, to auto-charge your card on file, monthly.

Your first month’s payment will be processed when your lesson time is confirmed by a YMP staff member, and payments will auto-renew monthly, beginning one month after the date of your first lesson.

Students must pay the full monthly lesson tuition regardless of atendance.

FAILED PAYMENTS:

Should your payment method fail, a YMP staff member will be in contact to update your payment method and collect your payment. Payments must be made in full prior to lessons resuming.

PRICING:

Youth Music Project reserves the right to change tuition fees. In the event of a pricing change, Youth Music Project will provide notice via email to the payer on the account a minimum of 30 days prior to when the pricing change will take effect.

DISCONTINUATION/REFUNDS:

We hope your lessons continue for a long time! If you are having second thoughts about continuing, please contact a YMP Program Staff member to discuss options that might improve your experience. Often a quick chat with us can change the course of lessons for the beter, whether continuing with the same instructor, transitioning to a different instructor, or even trying a different instrument.

If you would like to discontinue your lesson, you may do so at any time by calling 503-616-5967 and speaking to a YMP Program Administrator. YMP will provide a pro-rated refund for the remaining lessons in the month, with the following stipulation: we require a 7-day notice prior to your scheduled lesson time for said lesson to be included in the pro-rated refund for remaining lessons in the month. While you are welcome to let your instructor know about discontinuing lessons, please note that you must speak to a Program Administrator to discontinue your monthly payments and receive a pro-rated refund as applicable.

ATTENDANCE/ABSENCES:

Students must pay monthly tuition regardless of lesson atendance or student concert participation.

Due to scheduling constraints, YMP cannot reschedule missed lessons.

CREDITS:

YMP is closed for lessons on certain weeks each year – these dates are not included in private lesson fees; thus, no refund is provided for these break weeks. Please visit YouthMusicProject.org for the current program calendar.

Holiday related closures that land on regularly scheduled lesson dates will receive a prorated refund to the card on file used for your monthly auto payment. See the current program calendar for Holidays that we are closed.

Canceled lessons due to Instructor absences will be refunded to the card on file.

Should YMP cancel lessons due to weather or other factors, students will receive a pro-rated refund to the card on file used for your monthly auto-payment.

Students are eligible to receive one excused absence credit per calendar quarter (Jan-Mar; Apr-June; July-Sept; Oct-Dec). Simply give YMP Program Staff 24 hours’ notice of your absence and one excused absence credit per quarter will be refunded to the credit card on file that is used for your monthly auto-payment.
