Safety Information:
We ask parents to check their child’s temperature before bringing their child to practices. At a minimum but not limited to; children with fevers, coughing, sore throats, shortness of breath, sudden loss of taste or smell cannot participate in practices until cleared by a medical professional or are healthy for 48 hours after symptoms.
A verbal wellness check will be conducted when entering the building by staff. Coaches will also conduct a verbal wellness check at the beginning of each practice/game.
We will ensure your child’s gear and equipment is sanitized before and after every practice/game.
Notify the YMCA Sports Director or head coach immediately if your child becomes ill.
Social distancing guidelines will be in place for the parents and the children. In keeping with social distancing guidelines spectators will need to stay within the identified boxes around the field, and only family members may sit together within those boxes. Spectators should bring a chair to use when watching the practices.
Volunteer Opportunities:
YMCA sports are based on seven guiding principles: everyone plays, safety first, fair play, positive competition, sports for all, sports for fun, and family involvement. Our sports are supported by parent volunteers who are engaged as coaches, referees, and raving fans.
If you are interested in being a volunteer this season, please contact Dion Kimbrough at dkimbrough@suncoastymca.org. There is also an area for you to indicate your volunteer interest when you are registering your child.
Parent Communication:
All notifications will be done using the email address that you have on file. If you are not sure which email address is on file, please contact us to verify or update your contact information.
