Chili Cook-off for Autism is BACK!

It's bigger than ever, and this time we're taking it inside--it's the Spice It Up Chili Cook-off for Autism that benefits Camp COAST at the Clearwater YMCA. Businesses, organizations, and individuals alike will all compete to take home the crown! This year will feature games, crafts, bounce houses, and so much more.

Saturday, December 7 from 11am to 2pm.

Fees

• Registration Fees:
• $25 for amateurs/seniors/youths
• $50 for professionals
• Guest Tickets:
• $5 for an individual
• $20 for a family (up to 6 people)
• Please note: Guest tickets are not available online. Please purchase guest tickets at our front desk.

General Rules and Information

1. Each contestant must prepare chili to serve approximately 150 tasters.
2. Chili must be pre-cooked and ready to heat and serve.
3. Contestants must provide their own utensils and serving materials (we suggest small serving cups).
4. Each entrant will be assigned a contestant number which will be used for judging purposes.
5. Chili will be judged on the following characteristics: texture, flavor, consistency, spice and taste, aroma, and color.
6. Business and organization entrants may advertise in their chili tasting area.
7. Cups for the judges will be provided. Please note that judges will need 24oz of chili.
8. Clean up of the area will be the responsibility of the contestant.
9. Table, tablecloth, and chairs will be provided.
10. All food vendors and restaurant representatives must enter the professional category.
• Individuals may also put their chili to the ultimate test in the professional category.

For Amateurs

• Amateur chili cooks may include foods other than meat and spices (such as beans, vegetables, etc.) in their chili.

For Professionals

• Chili is defined as any kind of meat or combination of meats cooked with chili peppers and various other spices. Other items, such as beans or spaghetti, are strictly forbidden in the professional category.
