Description:
Here at the Y, we make sure that every child gets to play a safe, fair game. We not only help children become better players, but also better people--and all while having fun!
Our youth sport programs are progressive with multiple age levels. Participating in basketball offers a constructive way for children to have fun, and provides a great opportunity for families to spend quality time together. Basketball also helps children develop in a myriad of ways that benefit their physical and emotional well-being.
Children will experience healthy group interactions with their peers, and learn how to build friendships during the games and team activities. Since basketball is fairly easy to learn, it gives children the opportunity to boost their self-esteem.
Practice Times:
Practice/game day is determined by coaches availability.
What Do I Need:
Participants must wear a pair of tennis or basketball shoes. Participants must bring their own ball and hand sanitizer, please. Spectators must bring their own chair, wear a mask and practice social distancing.
