Description

As the Inglewood Unified School District adapts their plans for the school year, you may be wondering how you will navigate the new school day structure while meeting the demands of work and home. The Westchester Family YMCA, in partnership with the Inglewood Unified School District, is here to support you! The YMCA continues to adapt to community needs and supports our neighbors when they need us most. The last several months have been no exception. We are pleased to extend a safe child care option to you and your family, as we all work together through this pandemic.

Program Details
  • Program is available, at no charge, to students of the Inglewood Unified School District in grades K-8 (grades 9-12, TBD)
  • Located at the Westchester Family YMCA, 8015 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045. Program will begin in September. (Specific program start and end dates will be announced soon).
  • Days & Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm on all days when children would normally be in school.
  • Virtual Classroom & Homework Support
  • STEAM, Enrichment, Outdoor Recreation and Other Activities, designed to maintain physical distancing.
  • Adherence to all COVID-19 Safety Precautions (12 kids max per room, face coverings, nightly deep cleaning & disinfecting, temperature & wellness checks, etc.)
  • Caring and qualified YMCA staff team members, trained in safety precautions, CPR/First Aid and youth development.
  • Spaces are limited and enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis.
This program is provided by the YMCA in partnership with the Inglewood Unified School District. The Inglewood Unified School District is graciously providing a 100% subsidy for every IUSD student who enrolls in the program (while space is available), ensuring that students have access to safe and quality full-day support programs, while their parents return to work.
