SessionAfter School Camp: Fragile Kingdom (CR-2021)
DescriptionAt the YMCA, we instill an STEAM-based education by mixing, stirring, building, and combining different elements to explore intricate projects and outcomes. Focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and math, this camp will ignite kids' curiosity and help them practice patience as they create their scientific experiments. We will go from the scientific method to social-emotional learning, from identifying and learning emotions to practicing and teaching positive behaviors. Our goal is to help kids understand their thoughts and emotions through the creative process that a STEAM education offers.

This program is for our three week Summer School Kids to enjoy our second half of Camp Elks at Coyote Ridge Elementary Monday through Thursday 11:30am - 5:30pm and All Day Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm.

This is a nature-based, outdoor-education camp where kids make friends through adventure, challenge and exploration. Campers swim, learn archery and go hiking. Your kiddos will explore the natural land of Colorado, mountains made of granite, the four native evergreen trees and the many streams, lakes and reservoirs that connect us directly to our natural environment. Campers will also learn about the state’s varied wildlife, such as mountain lions, bears and big horned sheep. This camp will help children efficiently and mindfully move through the outdoors by learning important navigation skills and practicing Leave No Trace principles.

Add rock climbing to camp on Tuesdays. Participants will be bussed to Wooden Mountain Bouldering Gym in Loveland. Add horseback riding to camp on Wednesdays. Participants will be bussed to Jackson Stables in Estes Park.
