DescriptionLet the summer adventures begin! We will kick off the summer doing what kids love most: swimming, exploring, making friends, being creative and soaking in the sunshine. This is a perfect preview for what our summer will be while also teaching our campers about the Y's heroic core values. Does your camper know them all? Responsibility, respect, caring and honesty! Kids will be in their true element at camp while having fun and gaining a sense of achievement with our game-focused, brain-boosting curriculum.

SessionKindercamp M-F: A Wild Life on Earth (AR-2021)
DescriptionLions and tigers and bears… and elks and eagles and mares! This week we learn about a myriad of animals and grow an appreciation for their place on our shared Earth. Kids will learn about different wildlife not only in Colorado — but around the world. We will learn how animals and humans are all connected and how we can help balance or disrupt different ecosystems based on our actions. The Y encourages campers to look beyond our own world and embrace compassion for other species.

SessionKindercamp M-F: Discover Your World (AR-2021)
DescriptionAt the YMCA, we celebrate STEAM education by mixing, stirring, building and combining different elements to explore fun projects and outcomes. Focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and math, this camp will ignite kids' curiosity and help them practice patience in order to create their scientific experiments. During this camp, we will go from the scientific method to social-emotional learning, from identifying and learning emotions to practicing and teaching positive behaviors. Our goal is to help kids understand their thoughts and emotions through the creative process that a STEAM education offers.

SessionKindercamp M-F: Every Hero Has a Story (AR-2021)
DescriptionGrab your cape and join us for a week of fun while we learn about fictional and real life heroes. Campers will be visited by first responders and read about inspirational characters who resemble people in their own lives. We'll talk about what it means to be brave and take positive risks to become a hero in someone's life. Campers are encouraged to dress as their favorite hero throughout the week.

DescriptionWe shine a spotlight on fine arts this week to focus our creativity on painting, sculpting, making and creating. All week long, campers will celebrate their artistic skills and interests. We’ll also explore textures, colors and learn a few things about famous artists. Guest musicians and artists are part of the surprise! We'll aim to build a strong sense of belonging at fine arts camp by harnessing our inner artist.

DescriptionYMCA Camp Noco celebrates World Environment Day by learning about planet Earth and how we play a role in protecting it. This week, we talk about the shared responsibility in our community to keep our rivers, lakes and trails clean from waste and safe for humans and wildlife. We'll learn what a recycling center is and become inspired to reuse materials at camp to create fun new projects. At the Y, kids will grow compassion for our planet.

SessionKindercamp M-F: I like to Move it! (AR-2021)
DescriptionCampers will spend a week learning new skills to develop their hand-eye coordination, balance and footwork with a week devoted to moving! We'll play team games like kickball, volleyball and soccer to talk about respecting others while being active. We'll also focus on other active games and physical education opportunities that help campers understand the importance of moving their body. We'll practice yoga, have dance parties and physical challenges throughout the day. All campers will feel accomplished and capable when they get up and get active at the Y.

DescriptionBuckle up and prepare for take off as we navigate the stars. It’s a universe of stories, and the sky is the limit! Watch the stars come alive and explore the solar system. Create a rocket, make an alien mask or build anything else your imagination can dream. Our journey into space will include a close encounter with a real astronaut and hands on experiences with moon sand and galaxy slime. Endless curiosity will fuel our voyage as we embark through the great beyond!

SessionKindercamp M-F: Ooey, Gooey, Science (AR-2021)
DescriptionGot a passion for slime and all things slimy, ooey and gooey? Then this is the camp for you! It is science week, and it’s guaranteed to be messy. We’ll explore the earth, air, energy and crazy mixtures, and we’ll also encourage campers to enjoy calming activities with slime and other tactile sensory activities. Each day will be highlighted with an experiment and watch out for the mad scientist — he will make an appearance.

DescriptionGrab your cowboy hat and join us for some s’mores and tall tales from the wild west. This week, we’ll explore our backyard and learn what makes Colorado special. Hint: lots of nature hikes and creating projects using nature finds. We will finish our week learning about dinosaurs and fossil scavenger hunt. We will also recap games we played during this summer and relish in all the memories we made at camp.

Description
Kindercamp is based on our traditional day camp experience — full of enriching activities but designed for younger kiddos. Each weekly session allows for exploration and individual learning opportunities. Little campers will unplug, enjoy hands-on learning, build and learn new skills and make new friends. Our weekly activities include STEAM, sports and games, swimming, art, cooking and lots of nature walks. Each week is a brand new experience!

For children 3 years to 6 years old (must be toilet trained).

Weekly Fees:
M-F: $250

Here’s how to enroll:
1) Click Enroll and choose the family member who is registering.
2) Once you’ve selected your camps, select "Checkout."
3) Review and select weekly payment plan if desired.
4) Answer the questions of acknowledgment and review charges.
5) Continue to cart and checkout.
6) You may view your family schedule online via “My Account” and choose “Family Member’s Schedule”

It is suggested that families reserve their spot for the entire summer. Capacities may be limited due to Health Department Guidelines and COVID-19 capacity requirements.
