Pointe/Modern Ballet Int/Adv

The Woodridge Park District dance program is designed to improve grace and flexibility while exposing participants to the beauty and benefits of dance. This advanced ballet class incorporates lyrical and contemporary dance styles while working on either preparing for or practicing pointe work. This class includes additional optional performance opportunities. 6 years of dance or instructor approval. This is a cumulative program that runs Fall 2022 through Spring 2023. Dancers will learn techniques and skills throughout the year, and during Session 2, each class will learn a dance that will be performed in the Spring Recital. A dancer will stay with the same class for the whole school year - no new students will be added in Session 2. Supervisor: Kathi Wencewicz

Dance Attire

Girls- Proper Ballet and Tap shoes required
Leotard and tights preferred for classes

Boys- Ballet and Tap shoes required
Shorts & T-shirts or sweat suit
