Glass Blowing with Artist by Design

During this introduction to Glassblowing workshop, you will learn about the process of blowing glass. With a demonstration and instructions, you will create your own blown glass ornament or water globe. First, you will choose from 8 colors of ground glass (frit) for color, then the instructor will bring the glass up to temperature with a hot head torch and walk you through the process of blowing. Once cooled (annealed) your piece will be available for pick up the next business day. This is a great workshop to make homemade gifts and keepsakes! No experience necessary. Please tie back long hair and wear closed-toed shoes. The fee includes one ornament. Additional ornaments may be made for $20, payable to the instructor at the time of class.
