A continuation of Music Makers I for older children.
Encourage the development of independence, self-expression, and self-confidence through singing, creative and structured movement, ensemble work, guided listening experiences, and musical games. Class materials include song/story CDs, posters, games pieces, notation games, and parent booklets.
Biography:Ms. Joyce Alexander is a Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy from Montclair State University. She has also studied voice, theory, and performance at the New School in New York City. Ms. Alexander received the Department of Music David Ott Scholarship and Outstanding Student Music Therapist Award while at MSU. She has advanced teacher training in Kindermusik and Musikgarten. Ms. Alexander has served as music therapist in several settings including Bayonne Public Schools, Regional Day School (Morristown), American Day Treatment Center (Verona), Essex County Hospital (Cedar Grove), and S.A.G.E. (Berkeley Heights).
