Calling all Harry Potter fans! Join Wolf's for a trip to Philadelphia for Harry Potter-The Exhibition at the Franklin Institute, along with a tour of the Eastern State Penitentiary. Following a brief stop en route, you will arrive in Philadelphia at the Franklin Institute where admission is included for a self-guided tour of the museum including Harry Potter-The Exhibition and the Planetarium. The Franklin Institute houses four floors of interactive science exhibits including 12 world-class permanent exhibits that provide hands-on learning experiences, the Planetarium, the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial and renowned traveling exhibits. For a limited time, the Institute is hosting Harry Potter a groundbreaking exhibition that celebrates the iconic moments, characters, setting and beasts as seen in the films and stories of harry Potter and the Wizarding World. From the mysteries of Hogwarts castle to the antics of its mischievous yet brilliant students; from daring duels to dragons and Dark Arts; from glittering Gringotts to the magnificent Ministry of Magic, the exhibition will bring magic to life, connect visitors with the larger global community of the Wizarding World, and reveal the artistry and craftsmanship behind the blockbuster films. Get an up-close look at the props and original costumes from the films. Included in your visit to the Franklin Institute is admission into the Fels Planetarium. Explore the night sky with cutting-edge astronomical presentations in the giant dome that measures 60 feet in diameter and provides the ultimate screen for cosmic exploration. You will be amazed at what the night sky would look like without the interference of weather, pollution or city lights. Don't forget to make time for lunch on your own while at the Institute either at The Eatery or the Franklin Institute Café. After your out-of-this-world experience, you will take a short drive to Eastern State Penitentiary, once the most famous and expensive prison in the world, for a narrated walking tour behind the walls. If only the walls could talk…during your guided tour of this 19th-century landmark that stands in ruin today, hear the stories about the prison and the inmates from within the mysterious world of crumbling cellblocks and empty guard towers. The world's first true penitentiary, its vaulted, skylit cells once held many of America's most notorious criminals including bank robber "Slick Willie" Sutton and Al Capone. After the tour, you will depart for home with dinner stop at your expense along the way.
