TEEN Studio Drawing & Painting
w/ Mary Kate Doherty
Saturdays, 9:30am - 11:30am
(NO Class Feb. 15)
Whether you are a beginner or looking to round out your college portfolio, this student-centered class will help build essential drawing and painting skills using a variety of mediums, including pencil, charcoal, chalk pastel, watercolor, and acrylic paints.
Students will explore different approaches to art, working from life by arranging unique still-life setups and observing nature in the garden. Photo references, based on personal experiences, photographs taken in class, or other sources will also be used. This class encourages students to draw from their imagination and emotions, creating artwork that is personal and expressive.
This is a 10-week, 2 hr. class.
Please note: No class on February 15, 2025.
