TEEN: Nature Up Close: Drawing & Painting
SESSION 09 LPM

August 4-August 8, 2025

Nature's Palette: Environmental Art

Magnifiers out! This week, we'll explore nature from a bug's eye to a bird's eye view as students create life-sized and large-scale studies of fauna (animal life) and flora (plant life) using a variety of materials. Students will create small studies in their own hand-made nature notebook as well as scaled-up pastel paintings.

This class is one week, runs Monday-Friday, and lasts 2.5 hours with a snack break outside, weather permitting. Please remember a water bottle, small snack, and wear play clothes, since art can be messy.

Every week is different at Wayne Art Center's Summer Art Camp and class projects will change weekly to correspond with this year's camp theme -- Artists in the Making.

Medical, Emergency and Release Forms: All forms are to be completed through ePACT, a secure online emergency network. Once you complete registration, you will receive an email from ePACT that contains a link to create an account; click on the ePACT link and follow the instructions to complete all medical and emergency forms, which are required to attend camp.
