City Streets and Urban Scenes: Art of the Cityscape

Create photographs of subjects that spark joy and reflect your unique vision as you learn both the technical and creative skills essential for great photography. Learn how to use your camera settings to achieve sharp, well-exposed images and explore concepts like composition, depth of field, and point of view to enhance your photographic skills.

Students meet in the studio every day to learn a new topic, then go outside to create photographs and apply what was taught. This
hands-on experience reinforces lessons, along with image review and critiques. Regular feedback is offered to students as they are photographing.

Bring your own DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) or compact camera. Phone cameras do not have the functionality for this class.

** EVERY CLASS - students need to bring:
1-- a camera
2--have a fully charged camera battery
3--have a memory card with plenty of space to shoot freely
4--dress for the weather since you will be outside every day
5--bring a water bottle

This class is one week, runs Monday-Friday, and lasts 2.5 hours.

Every week is different at Wayne Art Center's Summer Art Camp and class projects will change weekly to correspond with this year's camp theme -- Artists in the Making.

To create a full-day camp experience, register for a different morning class and Lunch Bunch, our supervised lunch break in the Children's Garden.

Medical, Emergency and Release Forms: All forms are to be completed through ePACT, a secure online emergency network. Once you complete registration, you will receive an email from ePACT that contains a link to create an account; click on the ePACT link and follow the instructions to complete all medical and emergency forms, which are required to attend camp.
