Exploring Composition & Color Pastel & Oil
Description: This class will focus on drawing, color and value including discussion on pastel and oil painting techniques. Classes are open to all media and will include demonstrations. Each student will need to bring ideas for new paintings or unfinished work for resolution. Students will be encouraged to move a step beyond the restraints of a photograph to create a successful and personal work.
Anne Graham is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and has exhibited extensively with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Pastel Society (UK) and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
Materials:
Subjects to paint - this could be photos, drawings, etc
Painting supplies or pastels, canvases or papers (for pastel sanded papers U-Art or Pastelmat are good choices)
Drawing materials like charcoal sticks or pencils
