Description: This 5 session class will
walk you through the basics of making a prong-set pendant in silver or mixed
metals using your own found objects. As humans we all have little
"collections" from cherished moments with loved ones, or traveling
alone among nature. What better way to preserve your treasures than setting
them into an heirloom quality piece of jewelry.
We will complete at least one piece during this 5 week program.
Please bring in at least 5 different objects to choose from, they can be stone,
bone, metal, wood, shell etc. Use your imagination and bring in anything you
hold dear from your gatherings. Difficulty level is beginner to intermediate as
some experience is always helpful but not necessary.
Please note: This is a 5 week class. Please do not wear loose
clothing or jewelry to class, tie back long hair and wear sneakers/boots.
Additional materials will be available for purchase by the instructor (roughly
$25) including, saw blades, metals, drill bits, and sand paper.
