Advance beyond confined lines and hard edges and enjoy a more liberated approach to painting! In this focused open studio environment, students of all levels use oils or acrylics and work from personal subject matter to further their own visual language and interests.

Experience:

Expert instruction and advice from the instructor push students to explore new possibilities and work more intuitively, allowing unplanned marks and passages to become artistic breakthroughs. Students examine examples from contemporary and modern art (using both nonrepresentational and representational paintings) to build a broader understanding of space, line, and color abstract qualities.
