Starting with the fundamentals of photography, students learn about photo composition, camera settings and photo editing from award-winning photographer Laura Ducceschi.
Mixing practice with theory, students learn about art concepts in photography, take photos during class, learn how Photoshop can enhance photography and receive regular feedback during class critiques.

It is recommended that students use a single lens reflex (SLR) camera for this class. If an SLR is unavailable, a compact camera is acceptable, but will not have the same functionality. Phone cameras are not acceptable for this course.

Biography:Laura Ducceschi?s photography captures the magical way natural light accentuates beauty in nature and in people. Laura?s beautiful award-winning fine art photography portrays an intimate view of our world. Her images reveal how natural light emphasizes color and texture. Her photography has earned awards at the local, national and international levels. She has held many solo exhibitions, been in juried and invitational shows and has displayed in venues across the East Coast. As a photography teacher and tutor, Laura can help students take better photographs. Her understanding and appreciation of art has developed through drawing and painting classes, and courses at the Barnes Foundation in Merion. Her classes focus on the art of photography and the technical aspects of how cameras operate and function for the benefit of the artist.
