Description
Waupaca Parks and Recreation and the Waupaca Youth Softball Board have teamed up to provide a chance for your child to learn the fundamentals of softball including hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running.
After a few weeks of practice your child will put those fundamental skills to the test in competitive team games. The program culminates in an exciting season ending tournament!
All participants will be placed on a team although Junior and Minor leagues are required to go through the tryout process at the Rec Center. Please do not put too much pressure on your child to do well during tryouts.
Participants should bring a glove and comfortable clothes to the Rec Center tryouts (bats are optional).
All practices, regular games and tournaments will be held at Swan Park.

We will no longer be providing softball pants. We do have some softball pants available to purchase from the Rec Dept. For this league, the uniform is black softball pants.

Tryouts will be held at the Waupaca Recreation Center on the following Dates:
Tuesday, April 8th for Grades 1-5th (Junior & Minors League) at 5:30pm.
Tuesday, April 8th for Grades 6-8th (Major League) at 6:30pm
The first day of practice will be April 28th.
The first day of games will be May 12th. Regular season games can be scheduled on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday each week.
End of Season Tournament is June 20th thru 22nd.
