"Walk with Washoe" is a guided series of walking hikes through Washoe County's parks and trails.
Walk #3 - Sun Valley Regional Park
Sun Valley Regional Park has 343 acres of open space widely known for its abundant wildlife, unusual rock outcroppings, and unforgettable views of the Truckee Meadows. The park includes hiking trails, mountain biking, and equestrian use trails. Also interpretive information, restrooms, picnic areas, and access to public lands. We will be exploring the approximately 1 mile Sun Rock Trail which loops from the parking lot to the trailhead and back.
Meet in the parking lot near the picnic pavilion.
