Business Scarecrow Contest

Decorate for fall and compete for citywide bragging rights as the Vinton Parks and Recreation Department is conducting their 3rd Annual "Business Scarecrow Contest". Register your business now! Eligible businesses must be within City limits and cannot be located at a residential address.
A voting form and map with all registered addresses will be posted at www.vprdzone.com, Vinton Parks Facebook page, and at the Vinton Rec Center. All residents that live in or near Vinton are eligible to vote for their favorite scarecrow. More info about voting will be on the voting form.

Entry deadline for business's scarecrows: Monday, October 2

*One Scarecrow base and body per business

Cost is free!

You will start to receive your Scarecrows on Friday, September 8.

Voting period: October 9-October 23

All votes must be submitted by October 23 to the Vinton Recreation Center.
The winners will be announced on October 28 at our Spooktacular Day at the Courthouse Lawn at 10:15 am.
