Description
The Difficult Airway Course for EMS The Difficult Airway Course for EMS is a 16-hour course designed to teach a range of airway management techniques including:
· Prediction of the Difficult Airway
· Video laryngoscopy and other advanced imaging devices
· Medication-assisted intubation
· Pediatric intubation
· Endotracheal tube introducers
· Cricothyrotomy
· Extraglottic devices
· Challenging patient scenarios with high fidelity manikins
Completion of this course confers 16.0 hours of advanced CAPCE (Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education) credit or 16 contact hours from ASTNA (Air and Surface Transport Nurses Association).
