Description
The CPR/AED portion of this course is a basic life support program for laypersons who want to or are required to have CPR & AED knowledge and skills. Participants will learn to recognize the signs of sudden cardiac arrest, heat attack and stroke, relieve foreign body airway obstruction, perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation, and use of an automated external defibrillator. The First Aid portion of this course will cover elementary First Aid knowledge and skills with a focus on both adults and children. Topics covered in this course will include emergency response, shock, bleeding, soft tissue injuries, bone and joint injuries, sudden illness, and heat and cold related illness and injury.

A two-year certificate will be provided upon completion of this course. A $35 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class.
