Description
The UMKC Theory Workshop is designed for students in grades 11-12 (juniors and seniors) planning to pursue a degree in music. This workshop is particularly ideal for 12th grade students who would like a refresher on music theory skills before starting their first year as a music major, or 11th graders who would like a jump start on the concepts and material they will learn their first year in college. This engaging and informative UMKC Music Theory Workshop will cover the fundamentals of theory (e.g., scales, keys, intervals, chords) while also providing students with a better understanding of what collegiate music theory courses will entail.
