Description:
Come to Donate, Swap or Adopt a plant from 2 - 4 PM in our Foyer.
Join us for the main event at 3 PM for Edible Container Gardening talk led by Kasey Eaves!
Do you want to grow your own food but feel limited in space?
Container gardens allow for a versatile place to experiment with new garden trends or try your first crops. During this presentation with Vivant Gardening Services' owner Kasey Eaves, you'll learn what containers to choose, how to ensure good soil, and how to maximize your space so you too can have abundant harvests in the city! Learn what crops to start now, how to succession sow seeds and keep your container garden healthy through the hot dry Summer days ahead.
Kasey has been gardening as long as she could walk! She has grown for Chefs of Michelin restauranteurs and led demos and workshops at Chicago Botanic Garden! As owner of Vivant Gardening Services, she spends her days gardening and loves finding creative and easily maintained growing solutions when necessary. Join us and experience the joys of gardening!
Plant swap is open to the public. Registration is required for the talk.
You can register online or at the front desk for our Plant talk with Kasey Eaves!
