Description
Whether you are looking to just get out and have fun or want a more competitive experience, City of Tempe Adult Sports offers Men's and Co-Rec softball leagues, including a Co-Rec Lite league. Depending on the league, we offer up to three competitive divisions: Gold (highly competitive), Silver (intermediate) and Bronze (recreational). See each league day for the competitive levels that are offered. Adult Sports will assign teams to a division based on previous league/competitive experience. Teams may request a division, but the requested placement is not guaranteed. Teams will play at either Dawson or Kiwanis Ballfields, depending on division assignment. Regular seasons are followed by a tournament. League winners will be awarded a trophy. Participants must be at least 18 years old at the start of the season to play. Teams must have at least 8 players on defense to play, but all players on the roster may bat. See rules for accepted Co-Rec ratios. The presence of alcohol and other intoxicating substances is prohibited during City of Tempe league play. - Sunday game times: 6:00/7:00/8:00/9:00pm
- Monday - Friday game times: 6:30/7:30/8:30/9:30pm
Registration Process:
- No teams will be registered without full payment.
- Register online using the ActiveNet registration system at www.tempe.gov/adultsports or in person at one of the City of Tempe Community Centers (Kiwanis, North, Escalante or Westside). For more information refer to the "Registration Process" page.
- New teams need to fill out the "new team supplemental form" available on our website as part of their registration.
- Organizational meeting will be required. Meetings will be conducted virtually. Dates will be communicated at a later time.
- The community's health and safety will always remain a priority. Therefore, league dates could change or be cancelled due to COVID-19. Additionally, preventive measures may be put in place to help reduce the spread of the disease while playing. Preventive measures may include, but are not limited to: temperature checks, requiring masks, participation waivers, etc.
