Description
Adaptive Recreation is happy to offer a virtual after school program called Virtual Adventure Program to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Middle School and High School.
Our program will be Monday- Friday with two classes each day. All classes will be done on the platform Zoom so please make sure you have this platform downloaded and understand how to use it.
Class One: 3:00- 4:00pm
Class Two: 4:30 - 5:30pm
Please note when you register you are in both classes for the while session.
Each week will have a theme while we focus on different activities such as cooking, life skills, art, science and much more. 95% of supplies will be provided for each weeks activities and any that we request for your home to provide will receive those items one week before program.
All supplies will be packed and supplies by the City of Tempe, Adaptive Recreation but we will need families to pick them up. We will provide the date, time and location of the pick up date.
This Adaptive Recreation after school program can be funding through DDD (Division of Developmental Disabilities) by reaching out to your Support Coordinator.
Private pay will be $8 a day and you will be billed every Friday. Your bill will need to be paid before you can start the next week of classes.
Each session will be one month only as we watch how the school districts move forward with education but will make the choice that is the best for the City.

Thank you so much for registering for our Adaptive Recreation's Virtual Adventure Program!
This program is for Middle School and High School students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Our program will be hosted on a month to month basis so we can make the safest decision for any in person programming.
NEW HOURS
September will be from September 7th- October 2nd, 2020 making program Monday- Friday with two afternoon classes.
Class 1: 3:00 - 4:00pm
Class 2: 4:30 - 5:30pm
We do require at least 50% attendance for each week of programming.
Our Virtual Adventure Program can be paid through DDD with DTT hours or private pay of $8/day. If you are wanting to private pay you will be billed at the end of the week and we would need you account to be at $0 balance in order to continue into the next week.
Once you register you will receive an email with the following information:
1. Weekly theme and programming
2. Zoom login information
3. Pick up date, location and time [for weekly supplies]
4. Any additional information or resources needed for that week/session
