Description: Celebrate the life and times of one of Missouri’s greatest frontiersmen, Daniel Boone. During this family-friendly Saturday event guests will have the opportunity to mingle with Daniel and Rebecca Boone as well as other storytellers, tradesmen and guest speakers, while exploring buildings nestled within the scenic village grounds. Presentations from renowned Boone scholars Ted Franklin Belue of Murray, Ky., will take place under The Grand Pavilion and Ken Kamper of Hermann, Mo., at the Sappington home. Frontier-related demonstrations including carpentry, fire-starting and black powder will be offered throughout the day. Half-price admission on tours of the historic Boone Home will be available at the top of the hour between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, and Tuesday, June 7; admission into the park is free.
