Description

The Firecracker Fun Run is a 5K for entire family to enjoy. Show your support for the STARS & STRIPES - Awards for the "Best" Red White and Blue. Welcome to runners of all ages-Unofficial time clock. Walkers with dogs and strollers are welcome as well. Participants will be sent off in groups.

The Firecracker Fun Run is an untimed, 5k distance run hosted by the Fourth of July Committee. The race starts in front of Christ Church and runners head east on Sierra Madre Blvd., turning around through the Sierra Vista Parking parking lot at the furthest east end. Participants then head west on Sierra Madre Blvd. to Sunnyside and turn around finishing at Kersting Court.

While no formal time will be kept, a running clock will be available at the start line. Participants are allowed to bring strollers and dogs to this family friendly event, and runners of all ages are welcome to participate. Register before June 18th to guarantee receiving your Fun Run T-shirt on July 4th.

The last day to register is Monday, July 5, 2021 at 8:30pm.

Please note: NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE! All unused registrations will be a donation to the Sierra Madre Community Foundation.

Please make sure to abide by the following LOS ANGELES COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH GUDIELINES:

-All community sporting event participates are required to wear an appropriate face mask that covers the nose and mouth at all times during the event, even during heavy exertion as tolerated to protect the safety of all participants.

-All participants must do a self-health check in prior to the race and must sign off before beginning in their wave.

-All participants must maintain at least six feet of distance between themselves and anyone not in their "family/pod" and/or maintain the maximum distance possible during the event.

-There are no aid stations provided, participants are asked to bring their own hydration.

-All participants will go in alphabetical waves that will begin as follows:

LAST NAMES BEGINNING WITH

A-F WILL START AT 7:30am

G-M WILL START AT 7:45am

N-T WILL START AT 8:00am

U-Z WILL START AT 8:15am

-If a participant misses their designated started time, they are unable to start at a later time due to staggering restrictions.

-If a participant misses the race, there are no starts any later than 7:45am and we are unable to provide refunds.
