Description

This course is open to anyone interested in learning about printing in the darkroom, using Black & White film, with the focus on supporting Queer identities, as well as giving students the platform to pursue their own direction & self expression. Students will work creating and developing their projects, and will learn to photograph using black & white film, developing film, as well as printing in the darkroom, while learning the essential key darkroom skills, in order to enhance their photographs. Included will be lectures and engaging discussions showcasing other Queer artists/photographers and their works. Students will learn how to compose an Artist Statement, and the class will have group discussions/critiques. Prerequisite: Students will need to supply their own 35mm, or 120mm camera & film, and photo paper. We will have a final group exhibition/reception of work made in class.
