Description

This brief, (4 hour) intensive course is geared to those novices who want to dive in to get a better grasp of their DSLR camera and understand why there are so many more options beyond your auto setting and why having full control of your exposure yields more visually appealing images. The focus of the course is to learn manual functionality & navigating your camera’s Mode Dial and shooting in Manual (M), Programmable (P) Priority (Sv/Tv, Av) modes. You are in good virtual hands with a practicing artist and university/college instructor with over a decade of teaching experience. Note: Have your DSLR with full manual functionality (M, Av, Tv, P) modes.• A fully charged camera battery.• A media/memory card with at least 8 GB of storage space.• If you’re not sure about your camera being appropriate for this class, please email the course coordinator prior to registration @ dave.christensen@sfgov.org • Point-and-Shoot camera’s will not be discussed.
