Come to a place where we build Deaf community, language and culture. The Deaf Club will be meeting once a month on the first Friday of each month during the season. This space provides time for Deaf community members and their families, as well as anyone interested in engaging in Deaf culture and developing American Sign Language skills. The first half of the evening is designed to support those learning American Sign Language (ASL), including ASL students, and parents who have a child who is Deaf or hard of hearing. The second half of the evening is focused on providing a space for members of the Deaf community, to share culture, resources and socialize in a sign language-only environment. Anyone is welcome to stay for the second half of the evening; but they should be prepared to hold their own in conversation. This is a drop-in program, but a Recreation and Parks Play Pass or sign-in is required.
