Join The Call of the Sea, St. Francis Yacht Club, and other youth, in a three-hour voyage on Seaward, an 82-foot ship. All youth will become sailors and scientists for the day. You will get to help sail the ship. You will also get to learn about ecology, marine life, sailing skills and teamwork. Seaward will do a lap of the bay. You will board at the docks of the St. Francis Yacht Club. The route will begin with a ride to the Golden Gate Bridge, a view from below the bridge and then will go around Angel Island, near Alcatraz and then, on the way back to the yacht club, you will sail past city landmarks along the waterfront. Every participant should bring non- skid shoes such as tennis shoes, long pants, a jacket and layers of clothes. The Saint Francis Yacht Club will only be a pick up/drop off point for this class.
