Description: Join the inaugural gathering of the Wild Photographers of Telegraph Hill on Saturday morning to explore one of San Francisco?s most beautiful hidden treasures. The Filbert Stairs descend the steep cliff from the top of Telegraph Hill to Sansome Street. We will spend three hours exploring the steps that Humphrey Bogart climbed in ?Dark Passage,? as well as the renowned gardens, art deco buildings and views. In the process, we will be developing our ability ?to see? the diverse pictorial potential of location. Maybe we?ll catch a glimpse of some wild parrots. Class is for students with photographic techniques like depth-of-field control, color balance, macro photography. You will need a dslr or mirrorless camera, & already know how to use, a variety of lenses (macro, wide and telephoto), a light tripod, water and cell phone. Also recommended ? watching ?Dark Passage? and ?The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill." You will need to be able to walk up and down very steep and long stairs!
