Description: Elevate your photo skills with both technical and artistic approaches that go beyond tourist snapshots and selfies. We'll cover several techniques like composition, depth of field, panning, movement blur, over-exposure. And as we shoot, there will be on-going discussion about determining good locations, good light, street activity, architecture, etc. Forget it Jake- It's Chinatown. We'll have three hours to intimately photograph these vibrant San Francisco neighborhoods. Colorful drama, murals and the crush of people are waiting for us. Invite your friends and visitors to join us. You will need a digital SLR camera and the ability to use it in MANUAL mode. A variety of lenses, a light tripod, extra batteries and CF or SD cards are recommended. Don't forget water, comfortable walking shoes and cell phones. *Class will meet at the entrance to Chinatown on Grant Street at 6:30.
