In this course, we will explore the techniques used to make rich prints with a full range of expressive B&W tones and the archival stability to remain beautiful for years to come. In addition to the work in the darkroom, students will also learn to select the best negatives and paper for their prints. At the conclusion of the workshop, students will be able to make an archival print that they will be proud to hang on any wall. Prerequisite: Darkroom Essential & Process Class at HMPC or similar B&W darkroom course. Students must understand use of contrast filters and test prints.
