In thisworkshop you will learn to create jars with snug-fitting lids using a rangeof throwing techniques including slicing closed forms in two, as well asmaking lids with flanges and jars with galleries. Through a focus on coveredvessels students will hone their skills in the use of shaping, measurement,and trimming tools. This class is for different levels. However, you?ll needto be proficient in making a 6? tall cylinder with even walls. Students canexpect to finish at least one vessel. Glazing schedule will be announced atthe end of class and via email. Class price includes clay, the use of tools,glaze, and two firings.
