Description

**The description for this class has been updated**

Drawing is storytelling. Drawing is playing. Drawing is connection to community. In this class, we will build technical skills in drawing and painting while centering an emotional connection to art making and community. With a focus on art making as play and connection to ourselves and community, we will start with concepts that are personal and emotional which to help us cultivate our own answers to “WHY” we make art. Materials list available at sharonartstudio.org

“Drawing as a Mode Of Nurturance" is a phrase that comes from the mouth of Rachel Blodgett, the creator of Serpent & Bow @serpentandbow ! Our class is inspired by Rachel's devotion to craft as a way to embody resilience and devotion to ourselves.
