Description

With an emphasis on the combination of form and pattern, this workshop will use the grid to structure pattern making in way of low relief carving through specific demonstrations while encouraging play. Using basic slab construction, participants will explore the relationship between function and formal aesthetics. Demonstrations will include a variety of slab construction techniques and unexpected ways of creating pattern.
