Description: Woodworking with hand tools can be extremely creative and satisfying. This hands-on class will introduce you to the classic tools needed to make furniture: Layout tools for marking, bit/brace for drilling, hand plane, various types of saws, chisels and more. We will make two practical projects: a bench hook and a mallet. This class is a great start for folks with little or no woodworking experience. There will be an additional $30 fee due to the instructor on the first day of class. Prerequisite: Woodworking Safety Orientation. Students who have not met the prerequisite will be withdrawn and subject to the withdraw policy.
