Description: Oil and water can mix! In this class you will learn the basics of oil painting using water-mixable oil paints and mediums which are a safe and low odor alternative to traditional oil paints. Yet these paints have the same rich colors and blend beautifully just like regular oil paints. They can be thinned with water and your brushes can be cleaned with soap and water. This class will cover creating a base layer for your painting using water and then moving onto subsequent layers with water-soluble painting medium. Brush techniques, edge control and color mixing will also be taught. Basic drawing skills required. All painting levels welcome. Royal Talens Cobra paints are required.
