Description

Whether it's strong or subtle it's the light, and the shadows it creates, that define how objects look. If you want to draw things so that they look realistic you need to be able to draw light and shadow. In this class you will learn to understand how light moves across an object and how the corresponding shadows are created. Lessons in seeing and drawing direct light, highlights and reflected light will be taught. And the corresponding core shadows, cast shadows and their varying values will be demonstrated. We will begin with single objects and go onto drawing still life set-ups with the complex light and shadows that groups of objects create. You need basic drawing skills for this class.
