There is nothing like the tactile nature of clay to stimulate a child's imagination and creativity. Participants in the Randall Museum Clay Club tackle a variety of fun projects to address both functional and sculptural concerns. Students practice basic clay building skills making projects such as animals, self portraits, and a set of cups for the whole family. Slab, coil and pinching methods plus a range of decoration techniques in colors, glazes and textures will be covered. The instructor facilitates a safe and supportive learning environment and the projects are designed for the club cubs to learn problem-solving, experience positive peer relationships, and above all, discover the joy of self-expression.
