Come sketch at the deYoung Museum in Golden Gate Park. In this class we will focus on the wonderful collection of masks, sculpture, pottery and other 3-dimensional art in the museum's permanent collection. Working in graphite pencil and/or conte colored pencil each week, we will use a different approach to interpreting a variety of artwork. Composition, value rendition and pencil techniques will be taught. At the end of the class we will share our work with each other in the cafe when it is available for discussion. Entry fee into the museum is included in the price of the class. Students need to have competent drawing skills and will provide their own supplies.
