This hands-on workshop will teach participants the basics of nuno-felting (creating felted fabric using wool and silk fibers) and the making of pre-felted wool to use as design elements. Participants will have the opportunity to design and complete two flat-fabric pieces (e.g. scarves, table runners) during this 2-day class.
Two distinct design styles and techniques will be explored - you'll learn to create watercolor-like (organic) designs as well as hard-edged graphic pieces. Instructors will also demonstrate additional felting methods such as needle-felting and traditional felting as time permits.
This class promises to be broad in scope and allow students time to immerse themselves in the craft.
Level: Beginner to Intermediate TUITION: $300 (plus $30 materials fee payable to instructors on the first day of the workshop covers all materials)
Payment Options: Students may pay in full or choose the payment-plan option during registration. The payment plan requires a non-refundable $100 deposit with the balance due 30 days before the first day of the workshop.
